For our Italian office in Cologno Monzese (Milano) we are currently recruiting for the **Business Unit Director PH, IDV, Rare Diseases.
**
The Business Unit Director is responsible for the P&L, strategy development and execution for business in Italy, for portfolio management and for overseeing resource allocation and headcount consequences of business plans.
He/ she secures the positioning of Janssen as a medical innovator across Janssen portfolio in Italy and work closely with cross functional partners to ensure appropriate strategies and tactics are in place to achieve this.
Moreover, the Business Unit Director is responsible for prioritizing resource allocation across CVTs and BU functions (marketing, sales and other technical expertise) and monitors, challenges and improves the BUs organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
The Business Unit Director complies with the Credo, Health Care Business Integrity and Pharmacovigilance rules and embraces and lives the J&J leadership imperatives.
The Business Unit Director is a member of the Janssen Italy Management Board and other relevant regional commercial networks within scope of BU responsibility.
**Among the main duties & responsibilities**:
Management Board
- Responsible for total company management and performance
- Active participation in board meetings and leadership of cross
- company projects
Owns the P&L for the BU
- Responsible for the BU business objectives and portfolio management in Italy in line with business policies and guidelines and BU budget
- Accountable for short term business impact and mid-term market access
- Signs off consolidated BU sales targets and CVT business plans & P&L with MB
- Drives the development of the mid-year and strategic plan.
- Responsible for HC consequences of business plans for the short, mid and long term.
People management
- Selects, develops and retains quality people
- Conducts annual performance reviews with direct reports to help support the creation of a diverse, high performing Italy Commercial Strategy organisation
- Ensures Credo Values are demonstrated in the day-to-day interactions of all reporting functions
- Shares best practices in terms of processes, deliverables and approaches (where possible)
Externally represent Janssen and is accountable for:
- Outstanding customer satisfaction
- Partnerships, insights and solutions that are sensitive to customer needs and market developments

Ensures to conduct business in compliance with all applicable laws and international directives and according to generally accepted standards.
**Qualifications**
Requirements**:
- Required Minimum Education: University degree in Business or Life Sciences
- Required Years of Related Experience: at least 10-15 years of experience in healthcare industry e.g.
Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices or other relatable relevant sectors
- Minimum 7 years of experience in people management
- Good knowledge of English language (preferred)
**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Solid track record of achieving results, Business and leadership success in previous sales and marketing line management functions
- Exemplary leadership skills combined with strategic vision and a passion for achieving results
- People management experience, passionate about recruiting and developing the best talents for the organization
- Conceptual skills, e.g.
helicopter view and able to connect the dots.
Able to zoom in and out when necessary
- Excellent understanding of the health care system, structure and market dynamics in the Italy now and in the future
- Excellent marketing and sales knowledge in its broadest sense within the Pharma and/or Med.
Device Industry (e.g.
also understanding medical, HEMAR and External Affairs dynamics)
- Strong sales analytics capabilities, execution and results driven ("plan-act-measure-adjust")
- Solid Understanding of Marketing, Sales, Key Account Management and Medical Education methodologies and concepts
- Excellent change management skills and experience in leading a department during transformation
- Broad experience within the Janssen organization (preferably outside Italy)
