Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 3:00pm -- This individual will work on-site at our customer location.
Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of a fleet of trucks.
Their main task is to ensure the fleet is well-maintained, meets legal requirements, and is operated efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
They are responsible for managing and developing relationships with drivers to increase overall driver satisfaction and improve driver retention.
They also work closely with drivers to coordinate deliveries and ensure they arrive at their destination on time.
Communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage a staff of drivers to ensure high delivery of customer service and fleet profitabilityPerform all aspects of dedicated customer service including load booking and service failure resolutionManage daily planning of equipment and drivers while ensuring high utilizationAct as liaison between the customer, drivers, and internal departmentsDevelop relationships with drivers to improve driver performance and encourage retentionAuthorize pay related itemsEnsure safety procedures are followedHelp create and manage customized Key Parameter Indicators (KPI) to help ensure goal attainmentRequirements: Previous driver manager experienceAssociates DegreeIdeal Experience & Skill Set: Complex Problem Solving and Critical ThinkingSocial PerceptivenessJudgement and Decision MakingCoordination and MonitoringServiceTrouble shooting and Negotiation
