We are looking for a Technical Editor to include in our team dedicated to the drafting of structured technical documentation in English for our products. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and controlling documentation to ensure the publication of clear, precise and easily understandable documents for end users, making use of a variety of tools and technologies. A technical background will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities:Maintaining structured technical documentation, including documentation for users, installers, developers and system administrators.Maintaining documentation of system requirements and test cases.Requirements:Understanding of the technical terminology relating to the reference sector.Clear, concise and precise written communication skills.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of graphic tools and image processing.Ability to work independently according to directions provided and respect deadlines.High school diploma or master's degree with excellent grades.Knowledge of written English: Intermediate/advanced.Preferred requirements:Diploma or degree in technical-scientific area.Proven experience in the creation (Technical Writer) of structured technical documentation in English in the electronic, telecommunications, IT or mechanical sectors.Knowledge and use of technical writing XML tools such as Oxygen XML Editor or MadCap Flare XML Editor or other technical authoring software.Familiarity with the DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) XML standard and information organization principles.Adoption of Agile methodologies to quickly adapt to project changes and needs.Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management tools: Siemens Teamcenter, PTC WindChill, or other PLM tools.Knowledge of one or more programming languages.Knowledge of version management and code review tools, such as Git and Gerrit.Knowledge of at least one query language, preferably Oracle SQL.Location: Headquarter in Sesto San Giovanni (Milano) - Italy
