Purpose of Position: Irca is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Specialist with 4-5 years of experience to join our finance team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our direct and indirect tax obligations, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws, and supporting our overall tax strategy.
This role involves close collaboration with various departments within the company and requires a strong understanding of tax regulations and their impact on business operations.
Description of main Activities /responsibilities: Tax Compliance : Overseen the timely prepare and file corporate income tax returns and indirect tax returns, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations Tax Provisions : Assist in the calculation and reporting of tax provisions for financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards Transfer Pricing : Support the preparation and documentation of transfer pricing policies and ensure compliance with the arm's length principle Tax Planning : Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions across both direct and indirect taxes Indirect Tax Advisory : Provide guidance on indirect tax matters to internal stakeholders, ensuring that business operations align with indirect tax requirements Audit Support : Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, including preparing responses and providing necessary documentation Transaction Analysis : Review and analyze business transactions to determine appropriate tax treatment for both direct and indirect taxes Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with other departments, such as finance, legal, and operations, to understand the tax implications of business decisions and provide integrated tax solutions Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CTA) is preferred.
Professional Skills: Experience in a multinational company or public accounting firm is preferred Experience of local and international tax laws and regulations Experience with tax compliance and reporting, including corporate income tax and indirect tax Experiences: 4-5 years of experience in tax, with a focus on both direct and indirect taxes Language Skills: Proficiency in Italian and English is required Computer Skills: Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Behavioural requirements: Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams PI244012200
