Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Proven technical leadership and project management experience in developing and executing complex and/or large-scale engineering projects
- Relevant experience using MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project and related software
- Flexibility to travel up to 50% across projects in Europe
- Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English.
Amazon is seeking an experienced and business-oriented EMEA Engineering Sr Project Manager to lead the study, planning and execution of strategic and innovative logistic process automation and storage projects supporting the continued expansion and optimization of our fulfillment networks in the EMEA region.

Key job responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership for large-scale engineering deployment projects (study, planning, design, installation, commissioning and qualification, launch support) or innovation projects (study, business case planning, alpha/beta graduation stage planning and execution, business case validation, large-scale implementation management).
- Lead critical path items, dive deep on technical details and provide innovative solutions to resolve issues
- Assess and communicate project status, drive escalations on potential risks and delays across multiple teams
- Prepare and conduct weekly standing meetings with internal teams and external vendors/contractors to plan and track deliverables
- Create, submit and track the relevant CAPEX documentation to ensure that all projects are delivered within budget and best overall value
- Lead technical design reviews and propose design solutions for material handling and storage solutions that meet both business needs and global design standards
- Assist in providing equipment specifications and technical support to procurement and other business partners for best value and competition
- Collaborate closely with various internal teams such as World-Wide Engineering, Construction, Operations, Reliability Maintenance Engineering, IT and Procurement
- Traveling on average 50% across projects in Europe
Vercelli, ITA
- Ability to lead internal teams and manage vendor relations
- Strong knowledge about automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions
- Project execution experience in a construction environment (newbuild) and/or operational environment (buildout)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification or equivalent
- Six Sigma or Lean certification
- Comprehensive understanding of operational as well as reliability and maintenance processes including relevant software tools
- Speaking German, French, Polish or Arabic languages.
