In our Instruments and Payloads business unit we are developing electronic units for microsatellites and cubesats including Radio Frequency payloads, radar instruments ands data link systems. Our systems are currently at the core of innovative satellite earth exploration missions (e.g. SATURN ) or integrated as satellite subsystems for national and international space programs. In this context we are looking for an experienced Space Project Manager capable of understanding the main requirements and trade-offs of those peculiar systems and capable of managing space development programs according to the most relevant European and international standards on Space project management. The candidate will enforce our development teams in both our Rome and Milan offices. The candidate will take the lead of a portfolio of space projects , directly interacting with the customers and with the internal technical leaders, guaranteeing timely and high quality deliveries through all the project phases. Main tasks and responsibilities: to plan, oversee and lead projects from ideation through its completion; to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, budget and quality; to understand the customers' requirements and be able to respond effectively with a specific solution or with a plan to meet them; to understand project priorities, risks, and define suitable trade-off and roadmap changes to manage contingencies; to perform or support proposal preparation, including preliminary work planning, resource allocations delivery plan and quotation, in tight cooperation with the activity technical leader. Specific skills: Consolidated project management skills; Proven technical understanding of Satellite Earth Observation products, services and applications especially related to the Satellite upstream market; ESA ECSS and7or MIL standard knowledge; Technical understanding of Radio Frequncy satellite payloads like RADAR SAR / Altimeters, Radiometers or similar systems (an Electronical or Telecommunication Engineering or similar technical academic background is required); Excellent external (customers) and internal (technical team) communication and negotiation skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills – needed for communicating with a wide range of people (from scientists to finance officers), both internally and externally. Technical proposal preparation experience in institutional contexts like ESA, ASI and EUMETSAT; Education and Experience: Master's Degree in Electronic or Computer Science or Telecommunication Engineering; At least 5 years of relevant experience in the role in ESA or ASI projects; J-18808-Ljbffr
