As a (Senior) Product Support Engineer, no two days will be the same, whether rolling up your sleeves to work hands-on with our innovative, high-tech tools or exploring new parts of the world - it's a truly unique role that is waiting for you!A closer look at the role and responsibilities:Installations, qualification, preventative maintenance and remedial repair maintenance on complex electronic / electro-mechanical semiconductor capital equipment at ASM's customer locations around the world.Interaction with Hardware, Electrical, Controls, Process, and Software engineering teams to become the system level expert on new products being developed.Owns first build and test of the new product in the development lab, working closely with engineering teams providing real-time feedback of issues and recommending solutions.Perform tool-down repair support in complex situations; work in variedly formed teams; develop action plans and presentations for problem resolutions.Create and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through advanced customer service skills.Implement permanent solutions while maintaining a "safety first" mentality.Comprehensive and swift reporting for new products in the field.You'll have the opportunity to travel the world in this role:Depending on the product development cycle, travel can be all around the globe.
We often travel in teams which makes for some great travel stories!We could be a great match for each other if you have:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent experience.Field service/customer support experience and knowledge in installation and startup of systems (preferably in the semiconductor industry).Good hands-on skills.You have a valid driver's license and passport.You are ready and willing to travel globally around 30% of the time.
