What You Will Do Provide Category and Procurement services for the purchase of all IT Indirect goods and services for the region.
Duties and Responsibilities: (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary by the Company) Responsible for delivering commercial agreements which optimize value for money.
Adhere to standard IB global procurement processes.
Responsible for ensuring early procurement engagement in significant spend areas to maximize procurement's impact.
Develop deep product and supplier knowledge to drive continuous improvement within the spend managed.
Ensure contingency planning is in place for all key suppliers / services managed.
Develop peer relationships and continually work with key stakeholders ensuring that commercial delivery and internal service are equally balanced.
Raise instances of non-compliance to Global internal stakeholder ways of working (where this results in less than optimum benefits being realized).
Undertake adequate analysis and planning to enable effective supplier negotiations which deliver a world-class cost base.
Responsible for tracking benefits managed.
Create and implement Procurement category strategies to deliver efficiency and cost reduction: Review spend for cost opportunities, aiming for a yearly target reduction.
Assist in the development of specifications for goods and services to be purchased.
Invite, assess, and award/recommend supplier tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals.
Create and implement Procurement strategies to deliver efficiency and cost reduction: Support the roll-out of contract terms and conditions and maintain supplier relationships.
Manage relationships and performance of ongoing suppliers.
Administer contract performance, including delivery, receipt, warranty, damages and insurance for selected contracts.
Supplier pre-qualification (going through commercial and OH&S requirement to pre-qualify new suppliers).
Reconcile or resolve value discrepancies.
Ensure that the Company is getting value for money and what was initially agreed in the contract.
Perform such other duties as can reasonably be regarded as incidental to the job description, and such other duties reasonably within their experience and capabilities as may be from time-to-time assigned following consultation.
Qualifications - REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Associate degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field of study and 8+ years related work experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 10+ years related work experience to include, but is not limited to category management/sourcing experience.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Knowledge of: Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams: Sound knowledge of analysis in Excel.
Strong PowerPoint knowledge.
Sound procurement knowledge (tendering process, procurement terminology).
Skilled in: Plan, organize, prioritize, and manage projects or programs.
Verbal and written communication.
Problem/situation analysis.
Effective time and task management.
Multitasking capabilities.
Flexibility and adaptability.
Ability to: Proofread and check documents for accuracy.
Receive and understand information through oral and written communication.
Identify and distinguish color and shades of colors.
Communicate information orally and in writing.
Travel domestically as needed.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field of study and 5+ years related work experience to include, but is not limited to indirect procurement and category management experience, tendering knowledge.
Work Environment and Physical Demand Requires light physical effort.
Occasionally lifts or moves light weight objects (up to 10 lbs.).
Sits for prolonged periods of time.
Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
Requires prolonged machine operation including computer and keyboard equipment.
Exposure to uncomfortable work environment due to extreme temperature, noise level, and other conditions including second-hand smoke and/or vape.
