We are looking for Procurement/Subcontractor Managers on behalf of and in support to our client for their location in Rome or Milan, Italy. The selected candidate should show integrity and professionalism.
Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage). The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:
Take charge of all the procurement processes: Subcontractors sourcing and identification with relevant issue of the Industrial Procurement Plan; RFI/RFP preparation and coordination (including ESA Best Practices process); Writing the Statement of Work and coordinating the issue of the relevant data packages (e.g. Specification, general supporting docs, etc…) of the items to be procured; Support the contract officer to issue the contract for what concerns the programmatic part; Lead and coordinate the subcontractors' proposals evaluation based on defined selection criteria; Lead and coordinate the supplier activities and contract negotiation following the project manager guidelines and targets; Control and monitor the subcontractors' Project Management, Planning, Development and Progress; Coordinate interdivisional activities within the company and with subcontractors; Evaluate subcontractors' performance, identification and reporting of any inadequacies and proposal and implementation of corrective actions; Report the status/progress of subcontractors' activities measuring the project performance; Proactively identify and resolve issues; Manage and maintain the relationship with subcontractors as main point of contact; Identify and propose cost reduction and improvement opportunities; Identify and manage subcontractor project risks; Prepare and coordinate meetings, reviews, workshops and management meetings;Parallel coordinate the procurement activities for multi-projects; Contract change management and negotiation. Master Degree (MSc) in Aerospace, Electronics, Telecommunications, Management, Mechanical or comparable qualifications; Bachelor's degrees or technical high school graduations combined with documented experience in the Aerospace sector can also be considered;At least 5 years of experience in technical roles in electronics, RF or mechanical engineering, preferably in the space business;At least 5 years of experience in international procurement and sourcing activities/processes, preferably in the space businessExperience working on challenging Space application projects is an asset;Knowledge of space business standards and practices: ECSS and/or MIL-STD knowledge and experience of consulting for engineering, for testing, for product assurance and for space project management is a asset;Capable of understanding technical documents with regards to flight electronic/RF equipment, mechanical parts, ground support equipment, test facilities services, SW, etc.Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU;Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
