Manages, coordinates and ensures the Project's full compliance with all government and company safety regulations; Review contractor's Safety method s tatements to ensure coverage of defined areas and scope of works involved as reference in the preparation of efficient and realistic j ob hazard a nalysis and other risk assessment evaluation. Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments. Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices. Identifies workplace hazards and proposes actions to prevent accident or mitigate the effects of identified risks. Evaluate Safety practice and procedures for risk assessment and following legal guidelines Conduct regular (i.e. daily, weekly) Safety walkthrough with the contractor in the project site to inspect compliance to safety plan; Prepare and submit regular report on safety walkthrough performed with the contractor, overall Safety status and data of the Project and other reports as needed; Address safety concerns raised by project management team and other personnel; Make immediate investigations of accidents/ incidents and report findings and recommendations to the site manager. Identify training needs and facilitates safety classes. Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs. Inspect availability and operability of safety tools and equipment of the contractor. Coordinate with the contractor to ensure good housekeeping and high standards of safety in the workplace at all times; Promotes adherence to and supports all company safety, security and environmental rules, policies and procedures with a zero-tolerance mentality; Provides technical safety support to critical plant or company activities. Assist the HSE Manage in facilitation of s afety committee meetings on a periodic basis. Attend and participate in contractors tool box and sub-committee meetings. Conduct safety orientation to new or newly transferred employees, visitors and contractors guests to impart and improve their safety awareness. Performs other duties and safety related functions as necessary to ensure an accident-free workplace.
