R&D Chemist Associate

For our R&D coatings laboratory based at Pianoro (Bologna) we are actively looking for a Chemist Associate. In this role, you will perform entry-level analyses, testing, and formulation of new products.
ResponsibilitiesPerform analyses, tests, and development of new or updated formulas.Site support activities focus on supporting QC and formula transfer.Formula optimization process works with process team to ensure productivity.Formula management in ERP system.Quality investigations activities to support ARC analysis.Provide feedback, test results, and data regarding the formulation process and recommend modifications to formulas.Ensure compliance with department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.Respond to standard to moderately complex questions and concerns from plants, research technicians, quality control, and other internal parties regarding development and related programs and services.Operate, clean, and calibrate a variety of equipment that requires professional judgment and background; also utilize technical or standard equipment during projects.QualificationsDegree in Chemistry (Industrial Chemistry ideally).Demonstrate knowledge of various technologies, instruments, and materials.Understanding of fundamental professional chemistry principles and practices.Good communication and analytical skills.
