The team
A career in our Indirect Tax practice of our Tax & Legal Line of Service, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties.
You will advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.
Our team helps our clients optimise cash flow and reduce risk by managing challenges related to indirect taxes.
You will support our clients with all aspects of indirect taxation related to global, regional and domestic projects as well as comprehensive restructuring and reporting value added tax projects.
Main responsibilities
You will be working in a specialised team that covers a broad sector of the market including the FTSE 101 to 350, other listed businesses, privately owned businesses, real estate, high net worth individuals and the not for profit sector.
You would be joining a successful and growing team.
We are essentially a consulting business and little of our work is routine.
Projects range from one-off initiatives providing bespoke solutions to specific problems, working collaboratively with other specialisms within PwC to deliver a joined up solution to the client, through to advising clients on their international VAT obligations.
The indirect tax practice is guaranteed to offer a wide variety of opportunities.
You will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Managers and above
Be involved in the financial management of clients
Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new|existing clients
Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen
Train, coach, and supervise junior team members
Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
What we are looking for
A professional legal qualification (e.g.
LLB, LLM)
Any experience in advising clients from a range of sectors and industries on Valued Added Tax (VAT) issues will be considered an advantage.
Excellent language proficiency in English and Greek
Excellent computer skills
A motivated, proactive individual who has the ability to build and maintain their own client relationships and to win new business with mínimal oversight.
Strong interpersonal and team working skills and excellent project management skills.
A commercial, client service driven approach to your work.
The ability to manage a client team and to support the development of junior team members.
To be able to assist in the development of VAT technical offerings and to easily disseminate complex messages in a manner that is easy to understand.
