Our client, a leading international shipping company, is currently seeking a QHSE Superintendent with experience in the bulk shipping industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations, as well as experience in conducting safety and environmental assessments.Responsibilities:Conduct safety and environmental assessments of the company's vessels to ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental regulations.Provide guidance and support to the company's vessel crew and shore-based personnel to maintain a strong safety and environmental culture.Develop and implement safety and environmental policies and procedures in line with best practices and industry standards.Liaise with external stakeholders including customers, port authorities, and regulatory bodies.Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.Monitor safety and environmental performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Provide training and support to the company's employees to ensure a strong safety and environmental culture. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as maritime studies, engineering, or environmental science.2-5 years of experience in a similar role within the bulk shipping industry.Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations.Experience in conducting safety and environmental assessments.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to travel as required.
