(Northern Italy) for an August 26th, 2024 start dateWe are looking for a coordinator with a strong inquiry approach and creative use of new technologies to support learningSpecific Coordinator Responsibilities (main Ones)To liaise with the IBO as an official IB PYP member schoolTo coordinate all PYP activities and promote the curriculum of the PYPTo be a member of the Pedagogical Leadership Team in the school and to play a significant part in formulating, implementing and reviewing the long-term and short-term school plans and school policiesTo attend Coordination and Developmental Team (CDT) Meetings with the other school's CoordinatorsTo build positive links between PYP and MYP and DP so that there is a coherent practice, developing the IB Continuum, in collaboration with the Heads of Programme, offering advice and support to the staff on planning and implementing programmes of studyTo liaise with their Heads of Programme in the preparation of the school year timetable, lesson timetable, and in the organization of timetabled curriculum planning meetingsTo attend regional workshops that have been organised by the IBO, and encourage colleagues to attend regional IB PYP/MYP/DP relevant workshopsTo collaborate with their Head to ensure all teachers have a solid understanding of current curricula and/or guidelinesTo create a teacher's professional development plan in collaboration with the Head of Programme and the Head of SchoolTo liaise with the IBO in arranging workshops for the PYP/MYP/DP teachers; to enroll teachers to the IB workshop and to inform the Secretary Office about the courses so that it can book flights and hotelsTo collaborate with the Heads of Programme on implementing pedagogical initiativesTo plan, organize and lead, with the Head of Programme, the weekly meetings with the teaching staffTo oversee curriculum review and facilitate curriculum development around the themes of internationalism, holistic awareness, communication and cultural understandingTo coordinate the Heads of Department ensuring coherent development of those subject areas within the programme and across programmesTo promote a positive and professional learning cultureTo collaborate with teachers in planning and practice to better support their understanding of the curriculumQualificationsAt least a bachelor's degree and teacher qualification (from an accredited, state-approved programme)Right to work in Italy (EU passport or valid Italian work VISA)Immaculate police check(s)Contract Duration12-month contract, with possibility for extensionExperience3-5 years of recent and relevant PYP Coordinator experience in a comparable school environment or similar leading roleRelevant teaching experience preferably in an IB schoolIB examiners will have prioritySpecialist skills knowledgeProven ability to plan and deliver innovative inquiry-based lessons that engage students and address their diverse learning needsDemonstrated ability to use digital tools and resources effectively to enhance learningPlanning and organisational skills and leadership skillsFluent C2 level English: reading, speaking, writing (Common European Framework of Reference - CEFR)Personal qualities and desired attitudesIn addition to relevant qualifications, experience, and skills, we're looking for teachers who are:Passionate about their subject areas and able to engender the same enthusiasm in studentsSelf-aware, open to feedback and learning, and caring and compassionate with othersCommitted to diversity and inclusivenessPositive and develop respectful relationships with colleagues and studentsDependable in all areas of the role, take responsibility, reliable and follow through on commitmentsFlexible and adapt to new environments and cultureContributes to and supports life at H-FARM International School through involvement in school activities and events and participation in our thriving school communityHow to apply:Please send your application and include:An introduction letter explaining why you are interested in this role (in English)Your current CV (in English)Contact details of 3 recent and relevant referees (eg: Line manager, School Principal)Please, note that incomplete applications will not be processed #J-18808-Ljbffr
