Tenova leverages a workforce of over 2,400 forward-thinking professionals located in 18 countries across 5 continents, who design technologies and develop services that help companies reduce costs, save energy, limit environmental impact and improve working conditions.Proposal Manager(Ref.TN/PEN-23)We are looking for a Proposal Manager willing to join our Electrical Arc & Ladle Furnace Product Line.The candidate will coordinate and supervise the preparation of the offer to the client, through the evaluation of various technical factors of the supplied product/service and typically commercial ones related to time and risks, costs for the Company, relational and technical management of the potential client, and analysis of project clauses and so on.After analysing all the information in his/her possession, starting with the request documents up to the hypothetical offers of competing companies, the Proposal Manager has to formulate the most effective proposals, ensuring the Company a project with reasonable profit margins and reasonable risks.
Experience and familiarity with industrial plant engineering, including civil and structural parts, are key knowledge to complete the skills required for the job profile.You will carry out the following activities:Coordinate and execute the evaluation of request documents (from simple Request for Order to complex International Tenders), followed by proposal planning and management of the progress of technical activities related to the offer, including technical alignment of received quotations.Provide technological advice to the client during the technical discussion, enhancing the specific plant engineering experience of the Company in the steel making industry.Coordinate teamwork with colleagues in the department, regarding logistics, preliminary drawings, dimensioning of the electrical part, dimensioning of the mechanical part and plant engineering.
Request and coordinate, if necessary, the support of colleagues from other departments or external suppliers.Check the conformity and completeness of the information being prepared against the customer's requirements and expectations.
Adapt the work to any project changes or agreements made during the proposal activity.Elaborate the technical offer documents.Elaborate the cost estimate and prepare the budget in cooperation with the function in charge.Provide technical support to the function in charge of performing the risk analysis.Provide technical support to the function in charge of performing Offer Approval and Contract Approval.Suggest to the R&D function any possible action concerning product innovation.Contribute to the monitoring of products / markets / technologies.Technical skills:Industry KnowledgeKnowledge of the specific or similar industry (e.G.
EPC&EPCM industry): players, projects, products, operations and processes.Proposal & TendersAbility to support and/or prepare and/or analyse proposals and tenders (including e.G.

), including international contracts.Equipment & ComponentsKnowledge of process, control, quality, electrical, etc.
equipment specifications, suppliers and features (including equipment installation and components).Civil & Structural, Balance of Plant, HVAC, Fire FightingKnowledge of civil and structural engineering and equipment included in the plant budget (auxiliary systems, energy, HVAC, Fire Fighting, etc.).
Knowledge of equipment types and design methods and principles.Required profile:Degree in Engineering.Important previous experience in the plant engineering field as Proposal Engineer, Process/Design Engineer, Engineering or Design Coordinator of complex projects.
Experience in Technical Sales or Sales Support is an added value.Professional experience developed over a minimum period of 5 years in the engineering of heavy industries, such as metallurgy and mining, iron and steel industry, glass industry, waste treatment and petrochemistry.
