To strengthen our Product Development team, we have an immediate opening for aProduct Owner, HOME (platform) (m/f/x)YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESOwn and represent the best interests of the HOME platform across the organisation – creating deliverable system designs, best practises, dealing with customer escalations, supporting proof of concepts and product demonstrations (where required)Work with Lawo's customers and clients to understand and anticipate their needs then translate them into clearly defined product requirementsDefine and refine the product vision for the HOME platformCreate and maintain a product roadmap based on the Lawo corporate vision – working with the Senior Director for Cloud Infrastructure Solutions and the Lawo CTO OfficeManage the product backlog and prioritise accordingly based on market and customer requirementsOversee all stages of the product creation process including design, development, and market introductionDevelop and manage user stories – communicate clearly with all stakeholders in the respective research and development (RD) departmentsCreate and maintain product documentation – manuals, release notes, technical briefsMonitor, evaluate and co-ordinate product progress at each stage gate of the processParticipate in Scrum and Sprint meetingsStrive for customer excellence (positive product / market feedback), commercial success (well defined and market accepted products) and avoid waste across the organisation (repetition of research and development effort)YOUR PROFILEMinimum of three (3) year's experience in a technical product management or engineering roleEducation in IT, broadcast, audio, video, electrical engineering, or related fieldMust have demonstratable experience of capturing customer requirements, documenting and processing them into clearly defined engineering requirementsShall have experience of release build processes whilst understanding and embracing agile planning methodsNetwork and IT knowledge essential.
IP systems and standards knowledge a must – SMPTE ST2110, Ravenna, AES67, Dante, NMOS, NDI, SRT, WebRTCExperience and practical knowledge of security, virtualisation, containerisation and cloud technologies – VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, TerraformExperience of configuring and using different operating systems – Linux, Windows, macOSKnowledge and experience with the Lawo portfolio of products and their associated workflows desirableMust have a passion for technology and the ability to self-learn and take on new technologies and productsExperience in a customer-facing role required – including representing the 'voice of the customer' within the Lawo organisationStructured way of working and solving problems – including managing product and technical aspects of customer related escalationsStrong verbal and written communication skills essentialCapable of presenting technical whitepapers and best-practices at customer and key industry eventsAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work unsupervisedAbility to travel domestically and internationally for business (greater than 50%)Attendance at international tradeshows and events is a must – National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and International Broadcasting Convention (IBC)Fluent in spoken and written business English.
