Job Description This position will be a key member of the Business Uunit Fixed Retail Scanners' Product Marketing Management Team.
Reporting to the Fixed Retail Scanners Product Director, the Product Marketing Manager will manage one or more product lines.
Role Mission: The Product Marketing Manager FRS will take part in developing and delivering innovative products and solutions, both building on existing ideas and concepts and his/her own insights.
We expect the incumbent to act as a catalyst of change, not afraid to challenge the way things are done and leveraging on skills and experience to improve Datalogic's products and processes.
Key Responsibilities: Manage complete product life cycle from inception (New Product Development phase) to obsolescence; Develop marketing and training materials for product lines of interest; Train sales people and support key customer opportunities; Develop and manage strategic relationships with 3rd parties such as manufacturers, suppliers and vendors; Responsible for pricing, budgets and profitability of products; Cooperate closely with RD in defining new product specifications and throughout the projects; Evaluate, compare, contrast and position competitive product offerings and maintain competitive matrices; Act as the business liaison with key partners, customers and sales to help drive revenue, market share, gross margin, profitability and program success of the product families.
Requirements: Education: Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or Engineering.
Masters Degree is a plus.
Languages: Italian and English Fluent Experience: 3-5 years as Product Manager or equivalent.
Having worked with an RD Department and/or as Program Manager is a plus.
Other Information Specific Skills: Must have strong technical background in electronics for retail, industrial scanning, transportation logistic, shopfitting or other closely related industry; Expertise in retail related or to mobile computing is highly desired.
Strong knowledge of mobile computers, smart phones, operating systems, etc.
