Mission statement We're seeking a dedicated Product Manager to drive the architecture that powers our spot & futures market making system for cryptocurrency markets. This role focuses on navigating cryptocurrency markets, shaping our strategy for building low latency, high performance architecture and identifying opportunities to make our market making engine 100x more scalable across new frontiers. You'll be working with a cross-sectional squad, our trading & research teams, to define & deliver technology that supports our expansion across 1000s of markets for our clients. Your responsibilities will include developing a comprehensive understanding of our architecture, working with the architecture team to identify key opportunities to improve our scalability & reduce our cost of service, and drive key changes that allow us to make markets more efficiently across our tech stack. This is a crucial role to drive rapid expansion of our system and products. Job description Lead the product discovery and definition process for a cross-functional squad consisting of engineers, data engineers, QA specialists, data intelligence analysts, and tech support personnel. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify market opportunities, gather requirements, and prioritize features for development. Drive the development and execution of product deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends and identify areas for innovation. Work closely with engineering teams to translate product requirements into actionable user stories, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external partners. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and user feedback to evaluate product performance and identify areas for improvement. Continuously iterate on the product based on user feedback, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge. Background and experience Have led product development at a trading company or in a similar space. Deep understanding of key financial concepts and some experience with trading is preferable. Deep experience with cryptocurrency markets (personal or professional) & an understanding of core market making concepts is beneficial. Ability to understand, synthesize & communicate technical concepts and product architecture. Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization. Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive decision-making. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative working environment. Familiarity and experience with cryptocurrency trading, market making or similar is necessary for this role. Experience in quantitative roles is beneficial. Competences and personality Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field; 3 years of experience in product management roles, with a proven track record of delivering successful products in the fintech, cryptocurrency, or related sectors. Strong understanding of trading technology, decentralized finance (DeFi), and blockchain concepts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization.
