Description Job Title: Process & Construction Safety Lead
Location: Rieti
Responsibilities: Support compliance management with EHS requirements for the Rieti site. Ensure safety requirements for construction sites and processes at the Rieti site. Manage incoming contractors with a control of technical and professional requirements introduced by D.lgs. 81/2008, annex XVII, and art. 26, and control of the construction sites present on the site, as per Title IV of Dlgs.81. Control documentation regarding incoming contractors, supporting supervisors in the execution of work safely. Conduct field checks to verify the suitability of commissioned activities based on received documentation. Provide training and information on procedures to contractors and review safety plans and coordination of construction sites present on site. Draft safety analysis of new process plants (HaZop analysis, Zurich Analysis, etc.) and follow up on defined actions with project managers. Promote the EHS by Design program supporting the Engineering department in implementation. Project management of specific improvement projects in the EHS area. Manage documentation and legislative obligations regarding fire and explosion risk for the site. Prepare and implement training plans concerning safety and environment in compliance with legislative requirements and company needs, particularly regarding fire and explosion risks and ATEX classification of work environments. Deliver training related to Environment, Health, and Safety procedures valid in the Rieti plant. Manage the registration and reporting system for Near Misses and EHS events and SIF potentials; manage the Beacon system for EHS incident management. Conduct root cause investigation and analysis of events, identifying risk areas and frequent root causes, and identifying improvement plans. Update Department SOPs in collaboration with colleagues following new legislative compliance requirements. Conduct Gemba walks and EHS inspections to verify that all security measures are applied and functioning correctly, proposing corrective actions where necessary and defining related CAPAs (corrective and preventive actions) to be implemented on site and within construction sites. Manage safety devices for working at heights and explosiveness checks when required in site maintenance activities. Collaborate in defining and planning actions for maintaining certification according to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. Technical/Functional Experience: Work experience in the management and control of EHS aspects; experience as RSPP is preferred. Knowledge of technical regulations in EHS and ISO standards: ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 19011. Experience in process safety (HazOp analysis and other risk analyses), fire safety (knowledge of regulations), and Atex regulation (environment classification and explosion protection documentation). Project Management & Leadership: Develop structures and processes that reduce waste/complexity. Promote Continuous Improvement activities for optimization and time management. Excellent organizational skills and adaptability to changing situations. Commitment to meeting people, understanding diverse perspectives, and collaborating effectively. Processes and Decision-Making Autonomy: Proactiveness and excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Teamwork attitude. Interaction: Collaboration and involvement of all departments in the EHS area of the Plant.
Education & Skills: Master's Degree in "Technical Scientific Disciplines", preferably in Engineering. Preferred certification as ASPP or RSPP module C. Good knowledge of the Office package. Basic knowledge of IT systems. Basic written and spoken knowledge of the English language.
