Post-Doctoral Position - Autoimmunity And Vascular

IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for a Post Doc to join the Autoimmunity and Vascular Inflammation Unit directed by Prof. Angelo A Manfredi at Division of Immunology, Transplantation and Infectious Diseases.
The main research focus of this unit is the identification of molecular mechanisms that lead to the perpetuation of the inflammatory response and autoimmunity.
Background information and description of research project
This position offered, is part of a project of the Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza (PNRR).
The targets of this group is carrying out competitive and innovative research in the role of mitochondria function in patients with systemic sclerosis, characterized by chronic vasculopathy and fibrosis.
**Who we are looking for**:
A proactive and motivated PhD with demonstrated experience in the analysis of mitochondrial function in different tissues and clinical scenarios.
Experience in animal handling will be an extra.
**Key requirements are**: strong organizational and communication skills able to work independently as well as in a collaborative research team.
**Work details**:
The position is immediately available, and the contract will be of two years;
Salary will depend on qualification and experience.
