Maintenance Supervisor - 2nd ShiftJob Location: FairfieldWant to make an impact?The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervision of plant maintenance personnel for their assigned shift. Responsibilities include supervision of assigned employees, assignment of work to plant maintenance personnel, coordinating proper maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of plant equipment.
Ways you will make a differenceAssign work schedules to shift personnel through direction of Maintenance Manager.Supervise and advise plant maintenance personnel on work assigned.Interface with other shift Maintenance Supervisors to coordinate daily work transfer.Interface with all Departmental Supervisors to ensure that plant equipment is maintained and kept in a functional and safe order.Evaluate and make suggestions through manager/management for potential training opportunities and department enhancements.Address safety and sanitation issues that require immediate attention.Ensure that all plant and facility equipment are maintained in a normal, safe, and running condition.Supervise troubleshooting of all plant and facility equipment and advise mechanics on proper troubleshooting techniques.Supervise shop work and fabrication to ensure it is performed in a safe and proper manner.Monitor preventative maintenance and lubrication schedules to meet scheduled due dates.Interface with outside contractors when contracted work is scheduled during assigned shifts.Communicate company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.Maintain time and maintenance records.Direct the Service/Sanitation crew as necessary.Inherent in each position is a general duty to maintain each respective work area in a safe and sanitary condition. Regular, predictable, full-time attendance is required as an essential function of this position. The employee may be required to perform other such duties within the scope of their employment as may be assigned. The employee must also possess the ability to take direction, follow instructions, work with others, follow work rules and schedules, and focus on details.
