The Role: We are seeking a whole school Learning Support Coordinator to coordinate and implement the special educational needs provision across the school.
The successful candidate will be required to: - Promote an ethos and culture that supports the inclusion of all students - Determine the strategic development of the special educational needs (SEN) provision throughout the school - Be responsible for specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability - Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies - Ensure IEP/PSP are in place and records are maintained up to date.
- Ensure a collaboration with the IB Team for accommodations in exams - Provide support in class, small groups or 1:1 The Learning Support Coordinator will have strategic and operational oversight of the Inclusion provision.
He/she will work closely with the teaching staff to maintain the SEN register, develop schemes of work and lesson plans for pupils with identified needs of SEN learners, and facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with pupils, and by organising learning resources and the classroom-learning environment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: - University Degree in Special Education / Education related discipline, with additional qualifications relating to special educational needs.
- Fluent in the English language - Italian is an advantage - Hold an EU passport or have already obtained the right to be employed in Italy.
