The Weston lab in the Department of Geography and the Environment seeks an undergraduate field and laboratory assistant for summer 2023 to assist with projects focused on understanding coastal ecosystem response to climate change and land use change.
Field work will consist of visiting sites in the Delaware River Estuary (NJ/DE) and Plum Island Estuary (MA) for work in marshes and estuaries.
Applicants should be comfortable conducting field work for long days in sometimes uncomfortable conditions (hot, muddy, and buggy) while maintaining a positive attitude.
The student will gain experience in field work, laboratory sample analysis, and data workup.
On-campus housing and a meal plan will be provided to students who do not have local off-campus housing.
A 12-week commitment to the research project is requested.
