IT Software Developer Purpose of the job: IT Software Developer is responsible for delivering software /IT solutions to the business side of the organization.
They design, maintain and implement database management systems, computer applications and operating systems; they also analyze organizational software needs, devise solutions and maintain PC software and hardware systems.
Summary of responsibilities: Integrate and develop software according with business needs.
Managing and maintaining softwares currently in use in the Terminal.
Make changes in software programs based on end-user demands.
Follow the updates in software systems and update accordingly.
Make sure that IT system work without interruption and give technical support to end-users during the opening hours of the terminal and be available for night/holiday to support when required.
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (prefered).
5 years professional experience as IT Software Developer.
Technical Skills & Knowledge Required: (specific skills and knowledge required for the position) Operate in one or more object-oriented languages (Java, Python).
Good knowledge in Relational database management, backend solutions.
Good knowledge in MS, Linux, VMware administration tools.
Good knowledge of SQL language.
Good knowledge in Docker virtualization.
Preferred title: knowledge in EDI, Kubernetes, Integration software, ETL, messaging systems (jms, kafka).
Behavioral Competences Required: (e.g., organizational skills, ability to lead a team, etc.).
Ability to work well with others (team building).
Good communication skills.
Problem solving.
Language Requirements: Intermediate spoken English.
