Department: Engineering HHLA PLT Italy is a multipurpose maritime terminal started in 2021, located in the middle of the fast-growing North Adriatic market.
Here, the Expansion Project Team, carried out by the company Logistica Giuliana, is planning and executing a game changer phased project aiming to integrate the current facility into a fully automated state-of-the-art container terminal, making use of the most advanced technologies and expertise.
We are looking for a Go-live Project Manager who will manage the development of the Expansion Project's process of starting their operations and will follow up on the creation of required documents and products including related communication to secure approvals and permits needed to operate the future Pier VIII.
What you can expect Oversee all activities related to the go-live requirements for specific work packages within the new intermodal container and RoRo terminal project.
Ensure all operational processes can start as planned, with all stakeholders fully aligned and engaged.
Actively promote and lead a culture of safety, ensuring all project activities are conducted in a manner that prioritizes the health and safety of all team members and stakeholders.
Advocate for practices that ensure everyone goes home safe every day.
Lead project management activities to secure all necessary operational permits, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining alignment with the project's baseline scope.
Ensure coordination between go-live requirements and overall project development activities.
Align assumptions and expectations regarding go-live needs with the baseline scope to avoid scope creep and manage risks effectively.
Engage with external stakeholders, including the Port Authority, Harbour Office, Regional Authorities, Firefighters, Customs, Financial Police, and others, to secure all required permits and approvals for operations.
Actively engage in communications/consultation activities associated with both internal and external stakeholders.
Manage overall project delivery to ensure it meets defined objectives related to cost, time, quality, and scope.
Monitor progress against milestones and adjust plans as necessary to stay on track.
Identify, define, and manage contracts needed to support project delivery, working closely with technical specialists and procurement colleagues to ensure all contractual obligations are met.
Ensure best practices are implemented for the creation, management, and storage of all project-related documents and records, providing accurate evidence to support permitting and compliance activities.
Align closely with brownfield requirements from the existing HHLA PLT Italy's terminal operations, especially with regards to permits and licenses.
What you bring to the table We're looking for a communicative strong and driven Go-live Project Manager excited to join the largest port development project in Italy.
The Go-live Project Manager is an accurate and process-minded individual able to engage with the different authorities.
The ideal candidate is meticulous, process-oriented, and adept at engaging with various authorities to track progress and ensure deliverables are met.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Italian A proven track record in managing and delivering complex projects, particularly those involving regulatory compliance, permitting, and go-live processes Proven technical knowledge and experience of the legal and regulatory requirements for projects at all stages of the go live process Demonstrable experience in delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
Understanding of quality management principles and practices, with a proven ability to ensure quality is assured and controlled within their area of expertise.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks Experience of successfully engaging and communicating with internal and external stakeholders in a multi-cultural and international environment Champion Safety: Complying with all safety rules and fostering a safety culture within the team.
Support the department and business unit proactively by being willing to learn and contribute wherever needed.
Act with integrity and accountability by ensuring all actions are in alignment with compliance guidelines.
The ideal candidate would have a valid EU working permit and would be willing to work in Trieste.
