Mission: Société Générale is making a significant investment in expanding its Equity Capital Markets team together with the recently closed integration of Bernstein's sales and trading and research division. The Equity Capital Markets team is a core business of SG's Investment Banking and broader capital markets capabilities and is responsible for the origination and execution of equity capital markets transactions, including equity linked transactions, for our corporate, financial institution, and sponsor clients. The Italian ECM team is part of a fully integrated global ECM team and works closely with counterparts in EMEA, the US, and Asia.

Tasks and responsibilities: You will be responsible for working with:Managing Directors, Directors, and Vice Presidents to originate and develop new ECM client relationships which will result in equity capital markets transactions.The broader ECM team, sales, trading, and others to execute ECM transactions for clients.Preparation of ECM knowledge specific client presentations with fine attention to content and detail as you will have an opportunity to participate at the highest level of capital markets transactions with premier global clients.Detailed execution responsibilities for public and private equity capital markets transactions both domestically and abroad including client-facing and management.Supporting origination and execution of transactions including preparation of marketing materials and coordinating the work with Equity Syndicate, Equity Linked, Industry, and Investment banking teams.Develop relationships with colleagues abroad and among the Italian coverage and business lines teams.Manage juniors to keep detailed records of client interactions and tracking, execution timelines, and required client follow-up.Keep abreast of market developments and provide relevant market updates to the team, including following global equity capital markets, new issues, investor sentiment, and equity fund flows.Profile required Studies & experience: MBA or Bachelor's program and degrees in engineering, business, finance, and/or accounting.Existing Associate with at least 3+ years of prior relevant ECM experience.Language skills: Proficiency in English and Italian.Technical, operational & soft skills: Proficient in corporate financial analysis with the ability to analyze balance sheets, income statements, and perform comparable analysis.Expertise in all necessary software programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Experience in working with Bloomberg data, Factset, and Eikon.Strong presentation skills, both orally and in writing, confidence in abilities.Capacity and desire to understand complex financial structures.Ability to excel in a fast-paced, pressure-oriented environment and deliver under tight deadlines.Solid interest and understanding of financial markets.Why join us: Société Générale Italy is a multi-category bank offering every employee the possibility to have several careers in a professional career path.
