Job Description
As an Indirect Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing categories of non-production related spend. This role requires a strategic mindset, with an emphasis on driving cost savings and improving efficiency across various business functions.
Develop and execute indirect procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and service levels across assigned categories.
Perform market research to understand industry trends, identify potential suppliers, and assess supplier capabilities.
Lead the supplier selection process, including conducting RFPs, RFQs, and supplier negotiations.
Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, contract management, and issue resolution.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for cost savings, and implement procurement best practices.
Lead cross-functional project teams to implement sourcing strategies and supplier transitions.
Provide regular reports on category performance, including savings, supplier performance, and market trends.
Continuously improve procurement processes and systems to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field. A Master's degree or an advanced certification such as CIPS or CPSM is a plus.
Proven experience (min 5 years) in procurement, sourcing, or a similar role, with a focus on indirect spend.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as SAP, IFS, , TEAMS or similar.
