THE HEAD OF USER EXPERIENCE'S MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Set design standards for the team Train and support the team in UX best practices, review work, provide guidance, mentor the design team and collaborate with clients. Work collaboratively with other areas of the business to ensure progression towards business KPIs Create intuitive and elegant UX solutions to user problems Develop and maintain a UX programme to guide designers and projects towards the UX objective Design all UX best practices and processes, embedding these into the team Delegate and manage UX deliverables: Prioritize and assign work to the team while ensuring deadlines are met and manageable. Facilitate the design process: Set and maintain team workflows, evaluate what is and is not working, and document the design process. Prompt decision making, use of data and technical considerations in your thinking TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS HEAD OF UX ROLE, YOU NEED TO: Have 6+ years' experience as a UX Designer Have a track record of leading teams Be able to show a portfolio showcasing results, processes, best in class user experience and products Be detail driven, and able to manage time across several projects at the same time An understanding of design, usability and research best practices WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU? Excellent sense of visual aesthetics (color, typography, spacing, etc.). User focused design. You should have a deep understanding and appreciation of the process of identifying users' needs and solving their problems with functional and elegant design. Working experience creating screen flows, interaction models, responsive layout and UI elements. Analytical skills are a must. You should be able to weigh the pros and cons and cost and benefits of different design solutions, backed by research and data. An awesome portfolio showcasing your previous designs and processes.
