CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Head of Projects to join the Enterprise Accounts Team located in Milan, Italy.

The purpose of the role is to: Achieve safe and successful delivery of all project management and construction management services in Italy. Have overall responsibility for generating a sales pipeline to achieve financial targets. Ensure projects are secured and delivered on time and within the financial requirements and margins as specified by the business. Ensure that all projects adhere and are managed to commercial agreements/contracts. They must comply with statutory regulations, are QHSE compliant and meet technical industry standards. Build a high performing principal project team delivering best in class services to Enterprise Clients. Ensure projects are delivered on all maintenance contracts. Complete projects on time and on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties. Maximise profit through cost reductions and better buying of subcontractor services. Identify and win projects through effective relationships. Deliver Life Cycle Maintenance, Critical engineering and refresh/upgrade projects across Italy. Role Summary General Activities: Ensure the safe delivery of projects through the management of risk and competence. Recruit and retain talent for the present delivery and future growth of projects. Provide leadership in identifying and solutioning project opportunities. Deliver contractual commitments on secured projects. Ensure projects are delivered on all maintenance contracts in the region. Identify, reduce and manage all risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial or otherwise) associated with each project. Promote and maintain the core values of CBRE. Business Development: Plan and develop long term growth by creating a pipeline of opportunities. Develop and manage all bids, tenders and proposals. Responsible for generating and securing new sales to exceed the annual financial plan. Seek out opportunities to generate projects through innovation and different technologies. Lead the sales process through solutions development, participation in presentations and consultation meetings. Building Relationships: Develop effective relationships with current and potential customers through demonstrating our capability in project delivery solutions. Proactively manage customer relationships to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction. Build strong relationships with supply partners through which we can bring innovation to our customers. Work with operational managers to ensure the collaborative development of the projects business with effective team working and support of colleagues. Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety policy across all activities. Achieve operational excellence within designated account. Establish regular, clear and consistent channels of communication at all levels within the organization. Responsible for ensuring and improving CBRE and 3rd party safety performance. Financial Management: Development of project financial plans. Manage the monthly P&L and ensure all costs are fully accountable and recoverable. Produce monthly and ad hoc financial reports for the business. Ensure positive cash flow and that all debt is controlled below 60 days. Chair monthly project reviews with relevant stakeholders. People Management: Recruit, train, appraise and manage a team of exceptional PM delivery team. Conduct performance reviews and create individual PDPs for all direct reports. Responsible for recruitment and selection of all project staff. Person Specification: Good interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues and clients. Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are met. Accurate and exceptional attention to detail. Pro-active and enjoys working autonomously and as part of a wider team. Team player who deals effectively with colleagues and clients. Skills Required: Proven track record of leading and growing projects business. Track record of successfully managing large complex projects (up to $10M) within Construction / FM industry. Customer awareness and relationship management skills. Demonstrate previous experience of business development and accountability for financial success. Bachelor's Degree; Chartered Building Surveyor; CIOB, Chartered Engineer (Construction, Mechanical, Electrical and/or Civil). Good IT skills (MS Project, Word, Excel, MS Outlook).
