Daikin Europe NV (DENV) is a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Limited, a Japanese multinational and worldwide the biggest producer and supplier of HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) solutions, including heating pumps and cooling technology.
DENV is Daikin's sales, development, and production headquarters for Europe, the Middle-East and Africa comprising headquarter offices in Brussels and Oostende, 8 production plants, 24 sales subsidiaries and offices and a whole network of independent distributors and dealers across the EMEA region.
Daikin Europe Business Support (DEBS) is a branch of DENV located in Warsaw. As a competency center we aim at being one of the driving forces behind the processes transformation: optimization, standardization and automation in the areas of supply, service, master data, controlling, financial reporting and HR.
In this position, you will become part of a professional and driven tax team within a multinational entity committed to a sustainable future. The central tax team coordinates all tax operations for the group, together with the local accounting teams and our shared service center in Poland. With +/- 60 affiliates mainly in EMEA, we are looking to enforce our tax team with a motivated experienced person.
Your main focus will be transfer pricing and you will have the opportunity to extend your knowledge to the other areas of tax to become an all-round tax professional.
Your role:
Review and implement TP policies and guidelines in our affiliates and new acquisitions, in line with the group TP policy and local regulations.
Implement BEPS 2.0 regulations within the Daikin Europe Group. This will be the pillar 2 calculation framework and also pillar 1 obligations.
Coordinate local TP documentation files and requirements for all group entities together with our external partner.
Proactively follow-up on changes in TP regulations (globally) and analyse the potential impact on the Group's existing TP policies.
Assist with TP audits in the group and explain our policy towards Tax Authorities.
Provide tax advice on international business transactions and restructurings, including mergers and acquisitions and TP arrangements.
Implement internal controls to ensure the proper application of TP policies.
Help drive awareness within the business on tax compliance and possible tax risks.
Be a central point of contact for our local finance managers and assist them in transfer pricing related matters.
You are part of our multidisciplinary tax team and will deepen your knowledge about the other areas of tax such as VAT in an international context and corporate income tax.
Our Requirements:
You have a Master's degree in economics or economic sciences preferably complemented with a degree in Tax.
You have 5-8 years of experience working in transfer pricing in a multinational company or international consultancy.
You can work independently within strict deadlines with a hands-on mentality and you are comfortable in balancing multiple projects at the same time.
You have attention to detail and take ownership in your job.
You are eager to extend your tax knowledge to other areas than transfer pricing.
You are fluent in English.
You are open to travel up to 25% in the EMEA region.
