**Job Description** Seeking individuals with demonstrated experience working with either apples or kiwifruit.**
We are seeking an experienced professional to take the pivotal role of Global Segment Director at TOMRA Food, reporting to the VP, Head of Customer Value.
As the Global Segment Director, you will be responsible for shaping the business strategy for a designated market segment, ensuring TOMRA's leadership position through innovation and the delivery of exceptional customer value. Your primary objective will be to drive long-term success, contributing significantly to TOMRA's growth and profitability targets within each segment.
**Role and Responsibilities**:
Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and communicate the business strategy aligned with TOMRA's overal vision for the allocated market segments.
- Drive critical business decisions to enhance TOMRA's value proposition, solution portfolio, go-to-market strategy, business model, and marketing activities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to ensure success.
- Provide strategic input on product and service roadmaps for each market segment to advance TOMRA's solution roadmap in line with its customer value proposition for the segment.
- Be the expert and primary point of contact within TOMRA's global organisation concerning all aspects of the segment you hold responsibility for
- Collaborate in good faith with the Senior Global Segment Director to establish, maintain and evolve harmonised frameworks, methodologies, and ways of working.
Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain productive, trusted, and professional global relationships with external segment stakeholders to identify growth opportunities and position TOMRA as a leader in the segment.
- Develop in-depth segment knowledge, understand customer needs, and anticipate trends to inform the segment business strategy.
- Be an active thought leader in the market segment, anticipate industry trends, and develop and effectively communicate TOMRA's value proposition for the segment through sales and marketing activities.
Segment Innovation:
Strategic Sales Support:
- Support and coordinate the successful acquisition of large strategic deals with customers in your market segment, globally.
Health & Safety:
- Promote a "Safety first" culture throughout the company, our customers, and our industry.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality across all facets of our operation and customer delivery.
- Ensure the team works within agreed operating models, and ensure all decisions are made within agreed authority limits.
- Ensure compliance with agreed processes / procedures, controls and address quality and assurance outcomes as required.
- Identify, implement and embed any Excellence initiatives to improve quality, performance and efficiency of the team to facilitate outstanding customer experience.
**Qualifications** About You**:
- 15 years+ experience in commercial or business development roles, including leadership positions.
- Previous experience in an international organisation for high value capital sales and channel strategy, preferably within the food or food processing industry.
- Fluency in English (both verbal and written); additional languages are advantageous.
- Excellent people manager, inspiring people with drive, energy and enthusiasm.
- Proficient in developing and implementing business strategies to achieve objectives and KPI's.
- Strong networking skills and the ability to build and maintain deep relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical ability to identify challenges and communicate effective solutions.
- Solid product and market knowledge to discuss technical aspects with customers and internal stakeholders effectively.
