RINA is currently recruiting for a Global Operational Excellence Project Manager to join its office in Genoa (Italy) within the Global Operational & Organizational Excellence Division.
Mission
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and delivering transformational projects within the company. These initiatives focus on business process improvement, process design, and organizational change, leveraging Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodologies and Agile principles. The role requires strong project management expertise to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives while fostering collaboration across departments.
Key Accountabilities
Lead and manage cross-functional projects, including business transformation, process optimization, and organizational design initiatives.
Apply Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodology and Agile principles to drive process improvement and ensure efficient project outcomes.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
Monitor and control project progress, ensuring that key milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
Facilitate workshops and meetings with internal stakeholders to gather input, align expectations, and drive decision-making.
Communicate project status, updates, and risks to senior management and other stakeholders regularly.
Ensure proper documentation of processes, procedures, and project outcomes for future reference and audits.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhancing processes and organizational efficiency.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation of new processes or organizational changes.
Manage project resources, including internal teams and external vendors, to ensure optimal skill and capability use.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
5+ years of project management experience, preferably focusing on business transformation or process improvement.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is required; Black Belt certification is a plus.
Proven experience managing end-to-end project lifecycles, from planning to execution and delivery.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focusing on results and process efficiency.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work effectively.
Experience with change management practices and tools is highly desirable.
Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello).
Proactive and results-driven with a strong sense of ownership.
Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong leadership and team management skills with a collaborative approach.
