For a 5*L Resort, we are looking for aGeneral ManagerGeneral Managers are responsible for the day-to-day management of the hotel and its staff.
You will be responsible for managing employees and for planning, marketing, coordinating, and administering hotel services such as catering and accommodation facilities.
You will also be responsible for making sure that all areas of a hotel environment run smoothly and work together successfully.Core responsibilities: Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans for Room, FB and Event Department Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity Work with managers in the development of financial and budgetary plans Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement when necessary Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives Build and maintain relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks Identifying and implementing process improvements that will maximize output and minimize costs Uphold organization policies and standards, ensuring legislative regulations are followed Work closely with human resources to lead team with integrity and establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment Plan and organize hotel activities to drive sales Manage and monitor hotel expenses Manage and track hotel inventory Plan and implement marketing campaigns with marketing teams Build and maintain strong relationships with visitors and clients Build relationships with vendors Suggest and implement new ideas Determine KPIs Track KPIs and produce reports Hire and on-board new hotel staff Evaluate staff performance Ensure safety and adherence to rules and regulations Prepare and manage schedules and shiftsJob Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience in a General Manager role.
Previous experience in an international hotel group is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, hotel management or related field Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken) People manager used to large teams Strong commercial acumen Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals and forecasting results In-depth knowledge of the hotel/leisure/service sector Passionate about operations with a hands-on attitude Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high performance and exceed targets Accountable and resilient Ability to work under pressureLocation: Venice #J-18808-Ljbffr
