Team Overview and Job Responsibilities
Within the AF &C Function we are looking for a general ledger accountant who will be staffed in the SSC team, directly reporting to the GL manager.
He/she will:
- Maintains the integrity of the general ledger including the preparation, verification, and input of journal entries.
Prepares analysis of accounts as requested- Participate in selected General Ledger accounting activities to enable local and group accounting and statutory financial requirements to be met- Participate in Asset Accounting and IFRS16 activities ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and applicable Group policies and procedures.- Participate in Bank accounting daily activities (check automatic EBS postings, manual BS posting, transitory accounts clearing) for third party and Intercompany bank accounts- Support effective internal control maintaining adequate filling of documentation and evidence and full reconciliation of General Ledger accounts balances with legacy or source data- Support timely effective books closing ensuring respect of Group closing calendar.- Support accounting managers and controllers on arising accounting issues or anomalies promptly highlighting them and providing recommendations- Assist with month-end and year-end closing, and annual financial statement audit- Active participation to projects and initiatives.
Who are we looking for?- Bachelor's or master's degree in Economics- Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience required.
3-5 years preferred.- Good accounting knowledge (IFRS/Local GAAP)- Strong IT skills: MS Office, SAP (MM, FI, CO).- Proficient in English.
Other European languages, for example German, French, and Spanish, are highly appreciated.- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and a strong team player.- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines.
