As the Field Service Engineer in the Process System Solution business unit, your role will be to support our customers (mainly pharma and chemical plants) by delivering activities required for maintenance, solving and incident resolution, technical support, system upgrades, warranty services, training, performing configuration and/or modifications, and on-call services to DeltaV DCS. You will become part of our Lifecycle Services team, which helps our customers carry out maintenance, improve security and reliability, and boost the performance of their DeltaV DCS systems. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: To perform tasks for system maintenance and performance evaluations. To provide technical support to customers, make fixes, lead investigations, and provide and/or recommend solutions. To provide remote (phone, internet) technical support assistance for system users of DeltaV DCS. Be able and willing to perform on-call shift-based services (if applicable) and emergency call-out services to provide customers with fast and efficient services. To assist in design studies, H/W & S/W upgrades & modifications. To support project activities at customer sites including system installation and application programming. To provide on-site customer training for Emerson products. For This Role, You Will Need: Technical diploma or degree in an engineering field, such as electronics, automation, computer science, mechanical, or electrical preferred. Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) & Networking, Cyber Security, Virtualization, Programming Software, Operating Systems, Active Directory, Patch Management, Backup, and Recovery. Good communication skills and proficiency in Italian and English – written and spoken. Experience in the process industry such as Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, or Refineries. Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Experience in DCS or PLC applications (knowledge of DeltaV DCS being an advantage). Start-up and Commissioning Experience in process automation. Willingness to travel frequently. Availability to work non-office hours, occasionally including weekends, to support customers and perform call-out services.
