We are offering a position for Creative Fashion Designer in the field of Menswear, to be part of our creative team in Milan.Creating ready to wear Menswear lines through compelling designs and strategic trend, market, and product research.
Understanding the Principles of Design is essential in this role, in addition, you should be able to apply this knowledge to creating aesthetically pleasing and functional pieces.
You will work closely with a design team and creative director.
To complement our team ideally, pattern making or CAD skills in pattern making for menswear are required.
Ultimately you will travel with them team frequently to study the markets and being engaged with the sales team and directors.
POSITION BRIEF DETAILS We are looking for a Fashion designer to support our creative team, ideally you will bring pattern making and fitting knowhow.You will be working with a young and dynamic creative team in Milan, to manage the entire process from mood-board to concept definition, product development to final product.
Constantly reflecting on market and consumer demand with a keen eye on quality of fibres and product finishing.The goal is to inspire and attract the target audience and create harmonic unique and mature collections.
RESPONSIBILITIES • Oversee & manage design process from conception to final styling• Conduct market research to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniques, and seeking design inspiration• Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to line, and create new concepts• Ensure product is in agreement with product strategy and brand philosophy• Select fabrics and trims• Creating production sketches for development packages• Collaborating with the production and technical team to ensure developments of patters or tech packages are accurate• Reviewing product for style and fit during presentations• Presenting story, mood, color boards and sales samples to buyers REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS • Bachelor's degree in design or fine arts• 3+years of experience in the same field• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Adobe Illustrator and CAD for pattern creation• Availability to travel for research and product development• Excellent design and conceptual skills• Excellent sense of style and color• Ability to meet multiple deadlines Sign up to receive news and stories from Albert Nobilis.
