Job Scope The Environment Health & Safety Coordinator / Environment Health & Safety Senior specialist supports the HSE & Facility Europe Manager in the implementation of policies and programmes concerning Environment, Health and Safety at Work for the sites under the responsibility of Diasorin Italia S.p.a. (Saluggia, Bresso) as well as supporting him for the coordination of the other European Diasorin sites.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Supporting the HSE team for activities aimed at ensuring compliance with legal requirements and Company expectations regarding the Environment, Health and Safety at Work. Constant updating of the mapping and risk assessment across the European sites, ensuring the relevant training of employees as well as the recording of the distribution of the necessary PPE; Collaborating with the bodies responsible for the drafting of the DUVRI as far as the HSE is concerned; Conducting analysis and investigation of accidents (accidents, first aid and near misses) identifying the root cause and implementing the related action plans, and ensuring a timely communication process to all the relevant stakeholders Identifying proposals to improve safety and accident prevention systems in order to minimize the risk of injuries and accidents Coordinating training programs on safety roles and responsibilities, procedures, emergency response and other relevant topics, ensuring that employees are properly trained to perform their jobs safely and effectively Holding the responsibility for the integrated HSE management system and its maintenance according to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards of both the Italian and European sites contributing to the creation of common standards Ensuring the proper management of fire-fighting and emergency equipment and timely and effective interventions. Conducting regular inspections and audits of facilities and processes to ensure compliance with EHS standards and identify areas for improvement, preparing reports detailing findings and recommendations for corrective actions. Supporting the team during organization of third parties periodic audits and the certification body team during the inspection Ensuring compliance with permits requirements, data collection and communication to local authorities as required by current regulations Carrying out the activities necessary for the approval of the MSDS as well as the drafting and revision of the same concerning finished and semi-finished products, as well as the declarations of non-hazardousness; Education, Experience, and Qualifications 5+ years experience in similar roles within EHS departments Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the field of environment and safety in the workplace. Ability to work collaboratively within group as well as within interdisciplinary teams Ability to manage time effectively and to perform multiple projects at one time Excellent organizational and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience in Lean, 5S or Kaizen methodologies Experience planning or managing EHS initiatives Good knowledge of the English language Diasorin is an equal opportunity employer.
