About a boutique economics consultancy is searching for a senior economist to join its competition practice focusing on cartel damages cases in Germany. The company is a world-leading consultancy in competition economics matters and has multiple offices across Europe including the UK, France, Italy, The Netherlands, and Belgium. The competition economics team in Germany is rapidly growing and the team is looking for someone to lead projects, manage clients, and develop other business areas. The preference is for you to be based in Berlin, but there is flexibility to work in any other of its European offices if you are German speaking. Responsibilities
Working across a broad range of areas within competition including antitrust, mergers, and state aid cases. Fast career progression to a senior leadership position. Exposure to multiple sectors including finance, energy, telecoms, transport, and healthcare. As a senior economist in the team, the partners will give you a lot of responsibility on the day-to-day management of cartel damages cases. However, if you would like to split your time across other fields such as mergers and state aid, there is the flexibility to do so. There is a real opportunity here to make a huge impact at a senior level, to take ownership of key accounts, and to develop your personal network into a revenue-generating function.
Minimum Requirements
A minimum of 4 years' experience working on high-level economic analysis in the competition space. Experience in managing cartel damages and/or mergers cases. Native or fluent written and spoken German. Experience communicating and working with clients and/or key stakeholders. Economics training to at least master's level, ideally with a focus on industrial organization. This is a unique challenge for someone who is interested in becoming a pivotal member of a world-leading competition economics team and growing your personal brand in the German markets.
