We are currently seeking an Automation & Process Control Specialist, directly reporting to Digital Plants Section Head to join our Engineering division team based in Rome, Italy.
About the Job You will work inside the Digital Plants Section, that is in charge mainly of the:
detailed design, test and commissioning of simple, complex and advanced regulatory process control strategies detailed design, test and commissioning of complex logics and sequences management of the supply and commissioning of Advanced Process Control (Multivariable) and Optimization systems management of the supply and commissioning of Operator Training Simulator (OTS) systems management of the supply and commissioning of Digital Application software (3D OTS/Augmented Reality, Digital Twin, IIoT, MES) You will be involved in different phases of each Project: FEED (Front End Engineering Design), EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) and Revamping Projects.
The role and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Study of process operation and process control requirements and definition of suitable simple, complex and advanced regulatory control strategies to be implemented at DCS Definition of basic and complex logics/sequences (logic diagrams and flowcharts) to be implemented at DCS/ESD Definition of advanced process control strategies based on process operation and optimization targets Provide technical assistance during DCS/ESD configuration and testing phases (FAT) of simple, complex and advanced regulatory control strategies as well as logics/sequences at Vendors' workshops and during Site Commissioning phase Timely and qualitative preparation of technical specifications and requisitions for Operator Training and Advanced Process Control systems in coordination with other disciplines We offer you not only a job, but an inspiring journey in a truly global environment where you team up to break down boundaries thanks to the innovation, creativity and pioneer spirit which drive our people.
About You We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:
Previous experience of at least 3-6 years in detailed engineering and design for Refinery / Gas / Power / Renewables / Infrastructure projects in similar position Chemical Engineering Degree (preferred) Knowledge of process units operation, with at least 2-3 years of experience in process design or similar What's next?
