**Position Summary**:
We are looking for a Designer Intern to join our R&D team based in Pomezia, Roma. We offer you an interesting job as a development MCAD designer in the field of medical devices. You can expect diverse and dynamically developing tasks in the field of mechanical development. The focus is on the design and maintenance of mechanical components in CAD. The interdisciplinary global R&D teams work with flat hierarchies and demand broadband interest in holistic product development
**Duties**:
- Produces documentation (2D prints, labeling, etc.) for design that are provided from senior designers and engineers.
- Utilizes design tools (e.g. CREO, AutoCAD, Altium, SVN, within STERIS Product Lifecycle Management systems to control and release designs.
- Utilizes required tools to perform hands-on assembly of prototype designs.
- Executes engineering test protocols using good lab practices and good documentation practices.
- Follows corporate change process to complete assigned ECN (Engineering Change Notice) tasks.

**Education Degree**:
- Bachelor's Degree**Competencies**:
1. Exposure to technical software design packages (CREO, Solidworks, AutoCAD).
2. Exposure to technical design documentation (drafting, schematics, layouts).
3. Hand-on aptitude within the technical area of expertise (oscilloscopes, calipers, hand tools, multimeters).
4. Proficient in Microsoft products; Excel, Word
5. Effective written and verbal communication.
6. Proficient in speaking English
