Demand Planning Specialist As a Demand Planning Specialist, your role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and services within an organization.
You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create accurate sales forecasts, optimize inventory levels, and enhance supply chain efficiency.
Here are your key responsibilities: Forecasting Accuracy: Develop demand-based sales forecasts by analyzing historical data, market trends, and input from Sales and Marketing teams.
Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with various departments, including Operations, Finance, and Sales, to align production plans with projected demand.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, identify gaps, and propose contingency plans to address fluctuations in demand.
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and review KPIs, analyze sales performance, and communicate insights to management.
Investigate exceptions (e.g., abnormal demand) and propose improvements.
Process Enhancement: Continuously improve the Monthly S&OP process by suggesting refinements and streamlining procedures.
Cross-Functional Communication: Facilitate communication between business units regarding product availability and sales forecasts.
Data Integrity and Systems: Ensure accurate data in related systems (such as BPCS/SAP APO) and collaborate with Finance on investment and savings planning.
Legal Compliance: Act in accordance with local laws, Abbott policies, and ethical procedures.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in economics or business engineering.
Previous experience in Demand Planning and Finance is desirable.
Familiarity with supply and demand practices and tools such as BPCS and SAP APO forecast and replenishment modules.
Proficiency in analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Access, R, or SQL).
Strong problem-solving skills and effective project management abilities.
Experienced in negotiation to establish successful partnerships with external stakeholders.
High learning agility, including mental, results, change, and people agility.
Ability to build company dashboards.
Excellent team player and networker within and outside the organization.
Open to innovation and prototyping new solutions.
Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken).
Geography: Preferred residence in Lazio or another nearby region.
