Database Administrator (Dba)

IS/IT Italy Cernusco Lombardone Responsibilities Installation and Configuration: The DBA is responsible for installing and configuring new SQL servers, including hardware and software components.
Must ensure that the database environment is properly configured and optimized for the needs of the organization.
Database Management: The DBA handles database administration, including creating, deleting, and modifying database schemas in collaboration with the developer team.
It must ensure data availability, perform regular backups and restores, and monitor database performance to ensure optimal response times.
Performance monitoring and tuning: The DBA must constantly monitor system performance, identify any performance issues and take necessary measures to resolve them.
This might include optimizing queries, updating database statistics, and implementing appropriate indexes.
Data Security and Protection: It is the DBA's responsibility to ensure the security of data within the system.
This involves implementing database-level security measures, such as properly assigning permissions, implementing encryption of sensitive data, and managing user access.
Troubleshooting: The DBA must be able to diagnose and resolve any problems that may occur in the system.
This requires a good understanding of the causes of system problems and the ability to apply appropriate solutions in a timely manner.
Data Migration: When migrating data from one system to another, the DBA must be able to plan and manage the migration process.
This can include extracting, transforming and loading data from one system to another.
Requirements In-depth knowledge of SQL Server (2012 and later) and MySql (5.7) and its features.
Experience in managing and administering SQL Server and MySql databases.
Understanding database design principles and best practices.
Knowledge of SQL query languages and ability to optimize queries to improve performance (statistics and index management).
Familiarity with performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Data security skills and implementation of SQL Server and MySql security best practices.
Experience in managing backup, restore and recovery models Knowledge of other data/database engines and technologies outside of traditional RDBMS systems appreciated #J-18808-Ljbffr
