We are looking for a Country HR Manager, Italy. You will serve as a vital local HR partner for the organisation and its leaders and ensure the alignment of the country's agenda with the overarching people strategy. You will actively drive the Hiab People Strategy, overseeing key processes such as salary reviews, payroll, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, employee retention, termination, global mobility, talent development, learning and development, and performance management.
Main tasks and responsibilitiesLocal operational and tactical support: Provide advice for Hiab units and respective management teams, managers, and employees on local HR topics, initiatives, and coaching. Collaborate with local line managers, employees, division HR, HR Services team, project teams, and other relevant external stakeholders.Accountability: Implement and support the development of strategies, initiatives, policies, and programs that align with Hiab's People strategy and business goals at a local level.Local HR policies: Develop, implement, and maintain local HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal and Hiab company level standards. Coordinate organisational and restructuring changes in alignment with Business HR.Day-to-day management: Manage Employee Relations issues, maintain constructive works council and trade union relationships (where applicable), and ensure compliance with employment legislation, HR Policies & Procedures.Vendor Management: Oversee service and vendor relationships for payroll, recruitment, healthcare, and pension & insurance benefits. Negotiate and monitor contracts and SLAs, ensuring cost-effective and high-standard service delivery.Operational HR: Resolve local site operational issues, including employee negotiations, providing guidance, advice, and coaching to local line managers.Compliance: Oversee compliance responsibilities such as payroll, pensions, insurances, data protection, etc. Ensure compliance with local HR practices and global policies.Payroll: Collaborate with relevant parties to ensure reliable payroll operations including Business Continuity Planning (BCP). Act as an advisor on payroll matters related to local legislation/law and coordinate with local authorities.Rewards: Drive the local salary review process in alignment with the global agenda and ensure local market salary benchmark analytics.Employer branding: Develop and implement a local employer branding strategy aligned with Hiab's overall employer branding strategy.Recruitment: Support the agreed level of recruitment in the target population.Learning & development: Implement global HR training locally in collaboration with division HRs and CoE. Develop and implement local training activities including collaboration with external education institutes.Communication: Develop and handle local HR communication as needed, aligning with Global HR communication guidelines.Data and analytics: Manage local data for Hiab or local legislation such as sick leave numbers, local salary benchmarking, turnover rate, vendor cost efficiency, and other relevant statistics.Health and Safety: Collaborate with QHSE teams on general Health & Safety and Occupational Health issues.What you'll need to succeedDegree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Proven experience as an HR manager or similar role, preferably in an international setting.Substantial experience in managing a wide range of HR topics in a significant-sized business. Strong knowledge and experience of all key HR processes.Experience and understanding of HR legal practices in the country.Experience in working with centralised HR Teams. Ability to adapt to changing business needs and organisational dynamics.Demonstrable capability and experience to resolve significant issues locally without escalation.Analytical mindset with the ability to collect and interpret data to drive informed decision-making.Ability to oversee external vendors and monitor cost level development.Experience with Change Management and driving change.Strong IT literacy, numeracy, and analytical skills.
