In order to strengthen one of the Italian plants, we are looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager
Place of work: South of Rome
**The Role**:
The main focus is on the management of the continuous improvement processes, guiding the Continuous Improvement team in providing methodological support to the involved functions and to the site.
Areas of responsibility: management of cross-functional improvement projects, such as 5s development program, Six Sigma coordination and coaching, improvement of transactional flows, training on Lean methodologies and technical matters, support in the TPM implementation program.
This position requires strong work relationships with many functions like Operations, R&D, Engineering, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, etc.
and both internal and external stakeholders.
ACTIVITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In collaboration with functional leaders develops, manages and supervises the metrics system SQDCP using the visual dashboard and organizing and doing the periodical staff meeting.
- In collaboration with functional leaders (Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, etc.)
identifies improvement opportunities and together plans, implements and supervises improvement projects and activities of the area, sustaining the achieved results.
- In collaboration with Engineering defines the working methods for new processes and for substantial changes to the process.
- Identifies improvement opportunities through periodical GEMBA, the revision of the site metrics and feedback from internal and external clients.
- Selects and prioritizes Operational Excellence projects managing the governance process, providing periodical updating to the Site Leadership Team.
- Collaborates and contributes to initiatives of technological innovation and improvement of operatives departments.
- Cooperate, according to the other functional leaders, to the strategy of the function, following the Global CI & Technology initiatives.
- Spreads and improves the culture and competencies related to efficiency and continuous improvement within the company through Lean Six Sigma trainings, coaching and projects.
- Participate to periodical best practices sharing conference calls with the CI & Technology network and implements them into within the site.
**The Requirements**:
- University Degree in Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in Continuous Improvement activities, and skills in line with the profile, matured within qualified companies in sector such as Automotive, Appliance, Electronics, Food, FMCG
- Lean Six Sigma certification; Knowledge in statistics.
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Ability to communicate across all levels of organization.
