Galileo is looking for a Compliance Manager to join our fast-growing team in Milan, reportingto the General Counsel of the Group. The Compliance Manager will play acritical role in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, industrystandards, and ethical practices across the Galileo group.
What you'll do: Develop and implement comprehensivecompliance strategies and programs to ensure alignment with applicable laws,regulations, and industry standards within the renewable energy sector.
Conduct regular assessments and audits toidentify potential compliance risks and areas for improvement and developaction plans to address findings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams,including legal, finance, operations, and project management, to integratecompliance considerations into business processes and decision-making.
Monitor changes in regulatory requirementsand industry trends, and proactively advise senior management on potentialimpacts and opportunities.
Design and deliver training programs toeducate employees on compliance policies, procedures, and best practices,fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
Serve as a primary point of contact for ourshareholders, plus for regulatory agencies, industry associations, and otherexternal stakeholders on compliance-related matters.
Investigate and resolve complianceincidents, including conducting internal investigations and implementingcorrective actions as necessary.
Maintain accurate records and documentationrelated to compliance activities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Prepare regular reports and presentationsfor senior management, board of directors and relevant stakeholdershighlighting key compliance metrics, initiatives, and challenges.
Stay abreast of emerging compliance frameworks and technologies, andrecommend innovative approaches to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements What you'll need: University-level degree in law (preferablyMasters); advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CertifiedCompliance & Ethics Professional) preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of experience incompliance management, preferably within the renewable energy industry or aclosely related sector.
Strong understanding of relevant regulatoryframeworks, such as environmental regulations, energy policies, and corporategovernance requirements.
Proven track record of developing andimplementing compliance programs, policies, and procedures in a complexorganizational environment.
Excellent analytical skills and attentionto detail, with the ability to identify compliance risks and develop pragmaticsolutions.
Effective communication and interpersonalskills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders atall levels of the organization.
Sound judgment and integrity, with acommitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of integrityand accountability.
Proficiency in relevant softwareapplications and tools, including compliance management systems and dataanalytics platforms, is a plus.
Very fluent Italian and English; knowledgeof other European languages considered a plus.
Team player, with cultural awareness andcuriosity, willing to work with other functions and members of the Legal & Complianceteam on joint initiatives.
