The Chemistry Operations Specialist is the link between the analysts and the Team Leader/Supervisor, collaborating closely with customers and managing laboratory activities What will you do? Ensures both execution and continuous supervision of analytical laboratory activities for assigned projects in accordance with GMP requirements, assisting analysts in problem solving for analytical activities related to API / DS, excipients, packaging materials, materials GMP, utilities, semi-finished and finished products (release and stability). Prepares analytical specifications, study protocols and reports, analytical methods and SOPs in accordance with current regulations (current EU GMP, US GMP) and company quality standards. Coordinates with the Team Leader/Supervisor and client management to ensure a high level of client happiness and completion of required activities on time. Participates in calls/meetings with customers to assist in the discussion of technical issues for their area of expertise. Works with the Team Leader/Supervisor to identify analytical technology transfer requirements from clients and then ensures the accurate and effective transfer to the laboratories. Liaises with the Team Leader/Supervisor in managing laboratory investigations (out-of-specification and deviation reports). How will you get here? Diploma Chemical/Laboratory technician certificate Degree in CTF, Chemistry, Biology or other similar fields Experience in pharmaceutical industries Multi-year experience in Quality Control Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Knowledge of the main techniques of chemical-physical and biochemical analysis and validation of analytical methods Knowledge of GMP and national/international regulations Good problem-solving abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and both analytical and statistical software (Empower, MiniTab, Sample Manager) Be prepared to work with conflicting priorities, under time constraints, and in a powerful team environment Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is the world leader in serving science, with annual sales of approximately $40 billion.
