Position Summary: The Blueprint Delivery Lead will help lead business transformation related consulting engagements and will be responsible for timely delivery of initial transformation phase (Blueprint).
You will manage a virtual team consisting of Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and other technical Subject Matter Experts.
You will play the role of delivery manager of the blueprint phase, working directly with the Project Manager or Director responsible for end-to-end delivery.
The Blueprint Delivery Lead will be responsible for tracking and managing the progress of the Blueprint phase.
You will also play the role of trusted business advisor in the Blueprint, helping to analyze business requirements for customers, assess gaps between current and future business processes, and develop operational readiness plans while mapping business processes to proposed technical solutions.
This is a mixed management and hands-on role that requires strong delivery and content knowledge skills.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Matrix management of delivery engagements including resources from Consulting, Solution Delivery, and Solution Engineering.
Coach and train less senior members.
May include analysis and documentation of business processes and management of the team members who deliver the same.
Demonstrate ability to show thought leadership on communication service provider best practices in operational processes related to either BSS or OSS or both.
Participate in review of business requirements and processes documentation from the customer.
Participate in requirement analysis sessions to ensure business requirements are correctly mapped to functional capabilities.
Manage assessment of proposed technical solution impact on existing business operational processes, and recommend changes in organizational responsibilities and methods and procedures.
Participate in managing business readiness assessment prior to new solution deployment and execute on behalf of the customer selected business deployment tasks.
Single Point of Contact as delivery manager for Blueprint phase.
Experience and Requirements: Project work stream leadership responsibilities for both consultants and non-consultants, such as delivery and engineering resources.
Accountable for successful work stream and on-time delivery.
Manage customer expectations regarding timelines and deliverables.
Foster strong client relationships by setting adequate business context.
Ability to manage project budgets and estimates.
Able to manage project plans into specific actions and construct on deliverables.
Ability to identify opportunities and support the pre-sales process.
Demonstrated strong knowledge of their practice area.
Can make pro-active recommendations to customers based on knowledge area.
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years of telecommunications experience with large-scale telecom BSS, OSS, or NMS applications such as Billing, Order Management, Customer Care, Circuit Design/Assign, Provisioning, Network Inventory, Network/Element Management, Outside Plant.
Telecommunications industry experience required in three or more lines of business.
Demonstrated domain knowledge in at least three or more BSS/OSS domains.
B2B/Enterprise know-how is a plus.
Well-developed knowledge and understanding of the global telecommunications marketplace, from both technical and business perspectives.
Ability to understand complex organizations and develop consultative delivery skills.
Business-like presence and ability to interact professionally with customers.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as strong strategic and analytical skills.
Ability to work as part of a multi-faceted and multi-cultural team environment (many different stakeholders) to address complex technical problems and work with accounts in complex environments.
