The Position: ASSISTANT HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

Main Purpose: The Assistant HR Manager plays an important part in ensuring effective communication and engagement strategies that support the Hotel departments, acting as a liaison between Company and employees in order to promote the unique culture and philosophy of the Company.

Reports to: General Manager and in dotted line to Regional Deputy HR Director.

Main duties and responsibilities: BUSINESS PARTNERING Organise and deliver the on boarding and orientation programs of new Team Members and Managers, ensuring that they receive proper job skills training; Works with stakeholder on people-related topics; Supports Managers in performance management and manages disciplinary matters together with the General Manager; Assists in managing the People and Culture budget; Supports goal-setting for department teams; Monitors turnover and retention, suggesting solutions and strategies to the General Manager; Supports the hotel's Health & Safety agenda being responsible for the organisation of H&S trainings according to the Italian law, and for record keeping. LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT Assists in identifying needs, in designing and implementing development strategies for hotel teams, supporting high performance and talent planning; Supports the L&D Manager and departmental trainers in organising, in delivering and/or tutoring training initiatives. Encourages a culture of ongoing learning and development within the hotels. RESOURCING & TALENT ACQUISITION Cooperate with the Regional Recruitment Manager on the talent attraction process and activities; Support Managers on the selection process using behavioural interview standards and profiling tools; Manages work experience/internship programmes, ensuring quality delivery. EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE & SERVICE QUALITY Supports People & Culture initiatives to align with the Company's philosophy, culture, vision and brand standards; Management of Team Members' housing assuring that all the facilities are compliant with Rocco Forte Hotels quality standards; Organise team members activities and celebrations on a regular basis, with planned and shared calendar; Support the General Manager and Managers in delivering and in enhancing the Team Members' experiences to faster engagement. Service excellence: Delivers service standards, which consistently exceed guest expectations. Technically skilled: Demonstrates and understands job requirements and displays the technical skills and knowledge required to perform job well and in line with the departmental SOPs. We offer: Permanent contract according to C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo. Learning & development activities and career opportunities. Opportunity to stay in our hotels at a reduced rate (35€ per night) upon reaching 6 working months. You will also be entitled to 50% discount at bars and restaurants of the Company and 20% discount on wellness treatments at our Spa and on products "Irene Forte Skincare". Team Members celebrations. We require: Previous working experience in Italy in the same role. Luxury hospitality area is preferred; BA/BS/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from business or hotel school; Learning and Development experience or education; Good knowledge of Italian labour law and "C.C.N.L.
