JOB PURPOSEYou will be working as part of the global ESG Operations team with a purpose to drive and embed sustainability best practice in Burberry's supply chain. You will be the main point of contact for Suppliers, predominantly Italian-based, driving adoption and adherence to Burberry's traceability requirements. This role will be based in Milan, reporting into the global ESG Operations function in London. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly-formed team, helping to shape the future of Burberry's sustainability objectives in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the day-to-day management of adoption and engagement within our Traceability solution including leading key meetings with suppliers and vendors, capturing minutes, updating various project management tools and stakeholder management.Lead on contributing collaboration ideas and streamlining vendor/supplier feedback to drive continuous improvement.Understand different KPIs, and confidently be able to pull together the right data and performance metrics vs traceability roadmap.Organising local events to support increased engagement of the tool & targeted troubleshooting sessions to drive adherence to best practice.Support the weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting requirements across Supply Chain, ESG Operations & Corporate Responsibility teams.Be confident with using Excel to manipulate the data you need to create content and campaign reports.Demonstrate an understanding of using platform data to inform performance analysis and identify learnings.Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders.Collaborate with immediate, wider and external teams through effective written and oral communication.PERSONAL PROFILEStrong interest in and understanding of sustainability & ESG landscape.Interest in the fashion industry is strongly preferred.Fluent in Italian and English.Degree level education.A great communicator – confident in presenting ideas and social thinking to different parts of the business and with key partners.Demonstrates a strong work ethic and willingness to learn; a self-starting attitude and enthusiasm is a must.Can work under pressure, with the ability to be reactive and flexible.Analytical mind with an understanding of KPIs, and how to interpret data into actionable insights and learnings.An excellent organiser who can multitask and prioritise multiple stakeholders and deadlines.Attention to detail and a track record of operating in a fast-paced environment is essential.MEASURES OF SUCCESSBurberry is an Equal Opportunities Employer and as such, treats all applications equally and recruits purely on the basis of skills and experience.
