Overview FCID is seeking a Senior Accounting and Tax Manager to support around 20 subsidiaries across multiple countries operating in a growing and fast-paced Private-Equity backed business with operations across The Americas, Europe, and Asia.
The role will report into the Finance Director Europe/Asia located in Italy.
Primary responsibilities include the oversight of FCID's subsidiaries in Europe and Asia.
Key Accountabilities Accounting and compliance Ensure accurate group reporting on a monthly basis for entities across Europe and Asia; Coordinate, oversee and where needed perform accounting activities to prepare month-end reporting across Europe and Asia including, but not limited to: GL accounts reconciliations/reclasses, IC reconciliations, AR/AP details, bank details, dividend payments and other cash transfers across the Group, monthly accruals.
Support the Directors in ensuring that group accounting policies are correctly and consistently applied throughout the regions in accordance with US GAAP.
Assist external audit processes (across Europe and Asia) with accounting queries and drafting position papers on significant technical accounting matters.
Take responsibility for regional finance statements reviews, obtaining further information from regions within a tight deadline.
Liaise with FCID corporate accounting team in the US to ensure that group reporting requirements are cascaded and implemented in European regional processes in a timely manner.
Support Group Controller in special projects, including but not limited to acquisition/purchase accounting and implementing technical accounting pronouncements.
Support Global Finance function in building processes to increase efficiency (Lead to cash – Purchase to Pay).
Tax Coordinate and oversee the tax matters related to the entities operating across Europe and Asia, partnering with Global Tax function in the US.
Tax matters are mainly related to current income taxes, DTA/DTL, VAT, WHT, R&D deductions opportunities etc.
Oversee Tax Declaration reviews, obtaining further information from regions within a tight deadline and dealing with Group Tax Director.
Assist external tax advisors (across Europe and Asia) with tax queries and drafting position papers on direct and indirect taxation matters in conjunction with Group Tax Director.
Manage and support management fees definition and annual application in conjunction with Group Tax Director.
Support TP analysis as needed in coordination with Group Tax Director.
Treasury Manage and coordinate cash repatriation to Group (US headquarter) for entities across Europe-Asia on a monthly basis.
Preparation of 3-month rolling forecast on top of Budget and Forecast projections.
Centralized control over different bank accounts across entities.
Core competencies / requirements Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations with ideally strong experience with IFRS or US GAAP.
Holds a professional CPA qualification or equivalent.
Solid background in IFRS and US GAAP is advantageous.
Minimum of 4 years' experience in finance, specifically related to accounting, statutory reporting and cash management (preferably in SMEs working internationally).
Experience of minimum 4 years' experience in Audit (preferably Big 4).
Knowledge of Microsoft package (Excel) and experience with Cloud accounting software (ideally Oracle Netsuite).
Ability to work in an international, fast-paced and change-driven environment.
Ability to manage a heterogeneous team, composed of many individuals, with different competences and backgrounds.
Proactivity, high attention to detail and accuracy.
Fluency in the English language, both written and spoken, at a professional level.
Strong communication skills at all levels in the organization.
Excellent strategic and analytical thinking skills and confidence in challenging the status quo.
